A black femme fatale (plural: black femmes fatales) is an alluring and seductive African-American woman whose charms ensnare her lovers in bonds of irresistible desire, she is educated, well-rounded, beautiful and somewhat dangerous.
She is an archetypal character. Her ability to entrance and hypnotize her male victim is seen as being literally supernatural; hence the prosaic femme fatale today is still described as having a power akin to an enchantress.
The purpose of this blog is to share dating and life experiences in the DMV (District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia).
The posts will be written from my experiences as well as those of my fellow femme fatales. We are all in our mid-twenties, educated, professionals who are on the dating scene and documenting what to avoid, who to approach and the witty stories that come in between.
